This cachet design is a composite of four different portraits of Ella in different stages of her life. The blended mix of background colors tie the design together, and a 'splash' of glitter has been added by hand to each cover.

Hershey's Kisses
DGX# 159 HERSHEY'S KISSES
The design is based on a vintage advertising poster. An authentic Hershey's Kisses 'plume' has been tied into a hair bow and placed strategically on to each FDC by hand. To carry out the theme, foil hearts and lips have also been applied to each cover.

The central portion of the montage cachet features a portrait of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The background covers the entire envelope and represents the forest primeval, from the poem "Evangeline."

Forever/Liberty
DGX #161 FOREVER/LIBERTY
Liberty Bell and the Bald Eagle symbolize FREEDOM. The Liberty Bell is featured on the stamp issue, while the Bald Eagle in flight is featured on the cachet design. The eagle is seen swooping down. Gripping in his talons is a strip of stamps which spell out the word, 'F-O-R-E-V-E-R' - the theme of the stamp.

The cachet is a scene showing the settlers building the fort at Jamestown. The three ships are anchored in the harbor. The triangular stamp and pictorial postmark are set strategically to become a part of the design.

The cachet design is scene - a galaxy far away. The swirling light and dark of space, with the many orbs make the background for the center of interest - Yoda. Each cover has a single stamp from the set of 15. A very small number of sets of 4 with all 15 stamps were made.

The cachet design is a scene with three hummingbirds feeding in pink tubular flowers. A butterfly is seen in the lower portion of the design. Iridescent color on the throats of the three hummers is added to each cover by hand. The block/4 stamps is used on each FDC.

This design is a watercolor scene of a male Ring-neck Duck in the water, as a female flies overhead. The male duck has a 'raised eyeball' which is has been added by hand to each cover to add realism to the cachet design.

The subject of this cachet design is in the Art Nouveau style of Tiffany. The artwork is done in watercolors in a technique to give the impression of stained glass. With a little imagination, the illumination of light streaming through the 'glass' can be seen.

Thought to be patterned after Jefferson's Monticello and the Rotunda at the University of Virginia, this is the second in a series of synagogue architecture. With 29 stained glass windows, one of which is a signed Louis Comfort Tiffany, this is ideal for the combination of the Hanukkah and Tiffany stamps.
